Manager, Safety Services Location: OTP Customer Service Centers Grade 15 Position Summary At Otter Tail Power Company, safety is more than a priority. As Manager, Safety Services, you will collaborate with leaders throughout the organization, manage a dedicated safety team, champion innovative safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while advancing a proactive safety culture. You will play a critical role in supporting our employees, protecting company assets, and driving continuous improvement in safety and security programs throughout Otter Tail Power Company. This position reports to Director HR & Safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance company-wide safety, security, and compliance programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other applicable safety

regulations. * Oversee safety training, reporting, audits, investigations, and corrective actions. * Analyze safety performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. * Lead, mentor, and develop Safety Services staff while supporting safety committees across the company. * Manage Workers' Compensation cases, incident investigations, and return-to-work programs. * Serve as the primary company contact for regulatory agencies and safety-related partnerships. * Oversee physical security programs, support cybersecurity initiatives, and help protect company assets and employees. * Manage departmental budgets, PPE programs, safety supplies, and policy development. * Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and employee well-being throughout the organization. Qualifications We are looking for a passionate safety leader who combines technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. * Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience * Minimum of five years of supervisory experience involving safety management responsibilities. * Experience working with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, claims management, Workers’ Compensation programs, safety training, and security-related functions. * Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and foster employee development.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across

• Competitive wage & benefit package.
• The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $117,000 -

$161,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
