Are you organized, dependable, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional legal environment? We are looking for a Practice Group Assistant to join our team.

This entry-level administrative position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and learning new skills. You will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and Legal Assistants within an assigned practice group, helping the team stay on track and provide excellent service to clients. 

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Assist Legal Assistants with time entry, expense reports, and billing activities
• Help with conflict checks, engagement letters, and opening new client matters
• Support electronic and physical file organization and maintenance
• Assist with document production, signature packets, and client deliverables
• Provide administrative support during busy periods and employee absences
• Communicate with clients professionally and promptly
• Help the practice group manage daily tasks, deadlines, and workflow

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, follow instructions, and meet deadlines
• A professional approach and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• A willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a team
• Familiarity with legal technology, terminology, or document formats is helpful but not required 

Education and Experience

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or a related field is preferred
• Previous administrative or internship experience in a law firm or professional-services environment is a plus 

Schedule

This position generally works Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. Occasional work outside of regular business hours may be needed.
