Telephone Switchboard Operator
Primary Purpose: To operate multi-position telephone switchboard; and to greet and direct visitors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Receives all non-DID incoming calls.
- Directs calls to appropriate individuals or department after obtaining adequate information.
- Displays professional courtesy at all times.
- Maintains a customer service attitude.
- Attendance during scheduled work hours is required.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Qualifications:
Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Six (6) months receptionist and/or switchboard experience or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Work Environment:

Physical: Computer keyboarding, travel as required.
