North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Assembly Technician Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan and direct the work of the assembly technicians in order to reduce assembly equipment downtime, improve processes, and increase productivity.

Essential duties and responsibilities include supervising, assigning work, and preparing work schedules for all of the assembly department technicians. The candidate will create, submit, and maintain plant side budget for assembly departments, including capital budget requests for assembly department improvements. They will assist assembly and manufacturing engineering in maintaining plant KPI's for scrap, efficiency, and demonstrated capacity in assembly. The supervisor will monitor and evaluate equipment downtime with assigned technician, determine and implement countermeasures, and verify their effectiveness. They will create and maintain the countermeasure plan for assembly equipment downtime and present to plant and engineering management on a monthly basis. The supervisor will work with outside vendors on the repair and improvement of assembly equipment, obtain competitive quotes, create project plans, and oversee implementation to ensure their completion within the budget, timeline, and requirements outlined in the project plans.

The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $107,500 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related discipline, plus 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment OR an associate's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related discipline, plus 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing experience including 1-3 years in a supervisor or lead role and experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
