ASDOH - Dental Assistant - Float Job Type: Full-time Description A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a non‑exempt Float Dental Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. Duties & Responsibilities Assist students/residents and/or faculty. Maintain supply levels. Maintain organization and cleanliness of operatories used in the surgery department. Maintain suction lines and DUWL. Weekly meetings with students. Responsible for clinic department closure such as transporting instruments to sterilization, computer/monitor shutdown, closing vertical blinds, turning N2O off, organizing operatories, and other assigned duties. Process biopsies (Oral/Perio Surgery). Participate in staff meetings and other departmental meetings. Provide feedback on supply usage and possible cost‑saving measures. Attend continuing education courses. Maintain CPR certification through CPR certification course. Requirements CPR and X‑Ray certification. 2–3 years of dental assisting experience, CDA preferred. At least one year of electronic health records (EHR) software experience. Knowledgeable in OSHA standards, aseptic procedures, HIPAA regulations, sterilization, infection control, and all dental procedures and supplies. Professional appearance and strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Flexible, able to change assignments with little direction.
