Classification 02-Administrative/Non-Instruct Posting Number D1110289 Date Posted 08/27/2026 Closing Date 09/04/2026 Job Description POSITION GOAL To design and produce high-quality visual communications and creative materials that support and strengthen the Volusia County Schools brand and message PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.*Design and produce print and digital materials, including logos, brochures, flyers, posters, newsletters and other collateral for the district and schools. 2. *Develop, maintain and enforce district visual brand standards and style guides. 3. *Create school and district logos, graphics, templates and visual content for the district website, social media and other digital platforms. 4. *Work collaboratively with the communications team, school staff and administrators to fulfill design requests. 5. *Design materials in support of special events, campaigns and community outreach projects. 6. *Prepare files for print production and coordinate with vendors and print shop as needed. 7. *Assist with photography and photo editing for district publications and digital use. 8. *Maintain an organized archive of design files, templates and brand assets. 9. *Support development of marketing and public relations materials. 10. Recommend improvements to design processes and visual communication strategies. 11. *Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team, as assigned. 12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief of Communications or Coordinator of Communications. *Denotes essential job function/ADA Position Summary Position Code: 111208011 School/Site: Brewster Hours: 8 Months: 12 Please contact Carmen Greene at email View email address on click.appcast.io additional information Required Qualifications/Certifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Three years or more professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field Experience designing and producing print and digital materials for a variety of audiences and platforms Experience in communication, organization, delegation, collaboration and customer service skills with attention to detail Knowledge of non-profit or public education programs and procedures preferred Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) required Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work across print and digital platforms REQUIRED SKILLS Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to exercise initiative, use excellent judgement, and manage multiple priorities and projects Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design and branding principles Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to create brochures, flyers, posters, presentations and digital graphics Knowledge of print production, prepress and file preparation requirements Experience designing for both print and digital/social media platforms REPORTS TO Chief Communications Officer/Coordinator of Communications SUPERVISES Support Staff as Assigned Salary Info $73,468 to $84,447 #J-18808-Ljbffr
