Senior Data Analyst
Reston Virginia – REMOTE until further notice
9 Months Contract – Possible extension
Looking for strong Data analyst, prefer to have local or someone who is open to relocate
Healthcare background experience is required for this role, he/she need to help with claims
Strong source to Target Mapping exp is required, Big data knowledge/experience nice to have
Help with claims related (claims adjudication) project and data product (data warehouse) related project
Strong data analysis, strong source to target mapping, running SQL queries, exp working with ETL Developers, ability to understand requirements easily
Currently environment is: DB2 on mainframe, DB2 on Linux and Big Data platform powered by Cloudera but by end of next year majority of technologies will be in cloud
Job Description:
E5-8 years Experience
Bachelors degree in computer science, decision support systems (DSS), information engineering, business administration, or other related discipline. Masters degree in a related discipline is a plus.
MUST HAVE:
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills like 3rd normal form and dimensional modelling
- Experience with hands-on work designing and implementing data integration, Big Data, and/or business intelligence solutions
- Experience in design, development and tuning industry leading ETL, Big Data, and/or Business Intelligence software tools in data intensive, large scale environments.
- Experience in developing Source to Target mapping (STTM) based on business requirement.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Hands-on Ab Initio ETL experience in a work (professional) setting.
- Hands-on experience with performing Gap Analysis
- Hands-on development experience with Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem including tools such as Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Sqoop, Flume, etc.
- Strong DB2, Java, and UNIX skills
- Understanding and working (hands-on) knowledge of newer or emerging trends such as Big Data, Columnar databases, NoSQL, Hadoop, MapReduce, social media, data visualization, XML, and unstructured text is a plus.
