The Learning Experience Worcester is seeking a dependable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early childhood education center. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking, values food safety, and takes pride in creating healthy meals that support children's growth and development. As our Preschool Cook, you'll play an important role in providing a positive mealtime experience while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks that meet state and center nutritional guidelines
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures
• Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure every child's safety
• Communicate daily menus and allergy information with classroom teachers
• Maintain food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Maintain accurate temperature logs, inventory records, and required documentation
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts health regulations and center policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• ServSafe Certification required
• Previous cooking or food preparation experience required (childcare or school setting preferred)
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
