Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. As a Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate you must partner with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, processing sales, loans, and other transactions with a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). Responsibilities Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Perform non‑management open/close procedures. Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays. Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies. Answer incoming calls according to company standards. Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers. Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Successfully complete mandatory training. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification. May be asked to assist customers outside on premises or retrieve products from exterior storage areas. Minimum age: 18 years. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and work in a team environment. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient basic math skills. Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Availability for a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays. Computer literacy and ability to operate point‑of‑sale systems and common office machines. Commission Plan Information The commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their individual performance.
