Associate Scientist (Innovation)

Pfizer seeks an Associate Scientist to support research and development through evaluation and implementation of laboratory technologies, automation solutions, and process improvements. The role combines bench science with innovation initiatives to enhance assay workflows and laboratory efficiency in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement new laboratory technologies including automation, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions
- Support assay development, optimization, and troubleshooting with experimental execution and data interpretation
- Perform laboratory activities according to SOPs and best practices while supporting innovation projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, automation specialists, and quality partners on improvements
- Present experimental findings and technology evaluations at meetings and contribute to written summaries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life science or related field
- 0–2 years hands-on laboratory experience with assay execution and data collection
- Demonstrated interest in innovation, automation, or process improvement
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common AI tools
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $60,200–$100,400 base annually, plus 7.5% bonus target
