The Structural Division

The Structural Division is a forward-thinking structural engineering team committed to delivering innovative design solutions and exceptional customer service across the nation. Their expertise spans a wide range of services, including structural planning, building and bridge design, renovations, retrofits, forensic investigations, and more. With extensive experience in sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, sports and entertainment, hospitality, retail, and government projects, they pride themselves on their ability to meet diverse client needs with integrity and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering and drafting teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
• Develop and oversee structural designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal team collaboration and external communication with architects, MEP consultants, and other disciplines.
• Manage construction phase activities, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs (Requests for Information), site visits, and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
• Prepare detailed specifications, calculations, reports, and correspondence to support project goals.
• Conduct site visits during construction phases to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering; leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in state building codes and design standards such as ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS.
• Expertise in structural analysis tools like ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC.
• Strong knowledge of designing with steel, concrete, masonry, wood materials.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
