Field Service Engineer

Position Overview Power Solutions Group is seeking Field Service Engineers with electrical and/or mechanical aptitude who enjoy solving complex problems, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers significant variety, autonomy, and hands-on experience with power distribution systems across the Northeast. What Youll Do Lead on-site maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical power distribution equipment.Perform protective relay testing independently or as part of a team.Manage engineering projects ranging from small assignments to large-scale customer initiatives.Apply engineering principles, codes, and standards to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical systems.Provide technical support, quality control, and documentation for assigned projects.Read and interpret power system wiring diagrams, including DC elementary drawings.Adhere to all electrical safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.Demonstrate strong theoretical understanding of electricity and practical problem-solving skills.Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, peers, and leadership.Coordinate work at customer sites and resolve issues as they arise.Deliver excellent customer service, follow-up, and time management.Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel.
