Position Summary
Symbiotic Services is seeking a Manufacturing / Process Improvement Engineer to support a variety of manufacturing initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving throughput, enhancing quality, and increasing operational efficiency. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts and optimize manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate is results-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of influencing and motivating teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implementcost-effective manufacturing processes and methods that meet productspecifications and quality standards.
• Manage project schedules toensure timely completion and alignment with production requirements.
• Drive improvements in laborcosts, productivity, efficiency, quality, and other key performancemetrics.
• Design and optimize plantlayouts, systems, equipment, and workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate the manufacturinglaunch of new and revised products, including training and performanceevaluation.
• Collaborate with management,engineering, and operations teams regarding manufacturing capabilities andproduction schedules.
• Partner with sales, planning, anddesign teams to improve product design, tooling, and manufacturingefficiency.
• Design, develop, test, source,and justify manufacturing tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Work with vendors to determinespecifications and procure equipment that meets operational and qualityrequirements.
• Utilize statistical methods andprocess analysis to support cost reduction, quality improvement, andoperational excellence.
• Represent manufacturing andengineering on cross-functional project teams.
• Perform additional duties asassigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IndustrialEngineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or arelated field.
• 3-5 years of manufacturingexperience.
• Experience with manufacturingtechnologies, processes, and systems, including Oracle or similar ERPplatforms.
• Knowledge of process improvementand manufacturing engineering principles.
• Strong analytical andproblem-solving abilities.
• Experience with LeanManufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Management.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.
• Ability to collaborateeffectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Ability to exercise soundjudgment while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle ERP experience.
• Experience in automotive,furniture, or general manufacturing environments.
• AutoCAD experience.
• PLC knowledge.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
• Experience with labor analysistools such as MODAPT, MTM, or similar systems.
