Health Unit Coordinator (Float)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform clerical duties (order entry, telephone management, unit organization, etc.) Assist the HIM department with breaking down charts and scanning finalized product. Assist with providing staff breaks and filling in on the floor as a Patient Care Tech when needed. Assist in all codes in any capacity needed. Be responsible for census updates. Provide communication to schools for admission, discharge, and weekly updates. Travel to other facilities as needed and/or as instructed. Report to work in a timely manner and adhere to policies, procedures, and processes. Perform other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to support the care team. Requires intermediate-level computer skills; experience navigating an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years’ experience working as a Unit Clerk/Patient Care Technician in a behavioral health setting preferred. Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and writtenly.LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
