Excel Specialist for AI Model Training

Role Overview
Apply advanced Excel and Office document expertise to help improve AI systems that create, interpret, and revise complex Office Open XML files, including .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx documents. This remote contract role centers on bringing real business workflows, professional judgment, and detailed feedback to document-based AI evaluations. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design realistic, challenging business scenarios requiring expert use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Conduct structured, multi-turn conversations with an LLM using complex document-related prompts and evaluate its deliverables.
- Create and review .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx documents, compare two AI-generated solutions against professional standards, and select the stronger result.
- Provide detailed side-by-side feedback on quality, accuracy, and business relevance to support AI model improvement.
- Contribute use cases and insight spanning industries and business functions.
- Communicate feedback clearly in writing and verbally so it is precise and actionable.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high-impact business projects in Fortune 500 environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Office Open XML skills.
- Experience creating complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations in areas such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
- Relevant business experience, such as private equity associate, investment banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR professional, or marketing strategist, including hands-on deal or project work.
- Ability to design scenarios for strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or HR functions.
- Strong business analysis, document review, scenario design, analytical thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Careful judgment when assessing nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
- Experience working with LLMs or writing long-form prompts for AI tools is a plus.
