Power Systems Sales Specialist

Nixon Power Services is seeking an experienced Power Systems Sales Specialist to drive sales growth within an assigned territory by developing new customer relationships and growing existing accounts.

The Power Systems Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and developing solutions that meet customer needs while supporting revenue growth and profitability. This role will work closely with Inside Sales, Project Management, and Service teams to develop project specifications, prepare quotes, coordinate support, and ensure a positive customer experience.

The ideal candidate will be focused on building long-term customer relationships, identifying profitable opportunities, and achieving sales goals while serving as a trusted advisor to customers and contractors.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop new customer accounts and maintain existing relationships to drive sales growth within your assigned territory.
• Identify new business opportunities, pursue higher-margin customers, and negotiate and close sales.
• Manage customer relationships and execute sales plans to achieve territory sales goals.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, customer interactions, project updates, and opportunities in BOLT (CRM).
• Work with customers, contractors, and internal teams to develop project specifications that support successful sales.
• Partner with Inside Sales to develop specifications, prepare quotes, and coordinate sales opportunities.
• Keep Inside Sales Estimators and other team members updated on customer activity, project status, and potential sales.
• Prepare for and participate in sales meetings, providing updates on customer interactions, project progress, and sales opportunities.
• Support Project Managers with new unit start-up issues and coordinate Service Department assistance as needed.
• Follow up with customers to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with Nixon’s products and services.
• Build trusted relationships with end users and contractors by providing knowledgeable guidance and recommending the right solutions for their needs.
• Represent Nixon Power Services at regional trade shows and networking events to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of sales experience in the generator, construction, or a similar industry.
• Previous generator sales and technical experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with large capital projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer relationship and customer service skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and customer needs.
• Ability to learn technical information quickly and explain complex products, processes, and systems to others.
• Technical aptitude and the ability to assist with engineering designs and project specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including the ability to use technology and systems to track sales activity and manage information.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
