Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 13 years of experience leading a high-visibility design team through briefs for iconic brands. Portfolio of original and breakthrough design work. Preferred qualifications Experience rallying stakeholders, agencies, and designers. Understanding of both design and technology trends and how to apply them. About The Job As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward. In this role, you will protect and propel Google Cloud’s flagship brands by translating technology into human, compelling, and effective narrative experiences and branded campaigns across the world. As a Group Design Lead, you will be leading our creative output, Global marketing, and storytelling efforts. You will help to define, execute, and deliver memorable campaigns that elevate Google Cloud’s global brand voice and business goals. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$307,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Define and evolve Google Cloud's design direction in branding, communications and experiences both physical and digital. Work closely with creatives, strategists, marketers, producers, and engineers to deliver brilliant work in a fast paced environment. Manage and lead external agencies and partners, inspiring a high-performing collaborative culture where talent thrives. Serve as a trusted steward of Google Cloud’s visual expression and integrity, while identifying contemporary opportunities to bring the brand to life. Drive new ideas that embrace generative AI in design systems and leveraging AI to optimize/scale design systems for more efficiency.
