Project Engineer I

HGC Construction is looking for a Project Engineer who takes pride in organization, collaboration, and building projects the right way. At HGC Construction, we’re not just building structures; we’re building a legacy of quality, integrity, and purpose.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Project Manager with planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects.Monitor project schedules and budgets to support on-time and on-budget delivery.Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure effective execution.Support site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.Assist with preparing and reviewing project proposals, contracts, and change orders.Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment needed for project completion.Maintain communication with clients, providing progress updates and addressing concerns.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.Assist in resolving project-related issues and conflicts in the field.Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and confirm adherence to design requirements.Support management of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely, quality work.Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.Promote and support adherence to all safety protocols on the job site.Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on progress and challenges.Assist with project closeout and evaluation to ensure quality and client satisfaction.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 1-4 years of experience in construction project management or related roleProficiency in project management software such as MS Project or ProcoreExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with budgeting, cost estimation, and financial managementAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressureFamiliarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in constructionHuseman Group is an EOE/M/F/D/V - Alcohol- and Drug-Free WorkplaceHuseman Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace.
