Project Manager

Responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control for general construction projects while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities Chart the project plans and objectives, set performance requirements, and manage the overall process. Optimize utilization of labor, materials, and equipment; ensure procurement at cost‑effective terms. Coordinate implementation of various operations. Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Determine labor requirements and coordinate workers for construction sites. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, field staff, and clients. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Obtain all necessary permits and licenses. Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing. Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects. Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports. Develop and implement quality control programs. Take actions to deal with delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the construction site. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems including start‑up and project close‑out. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure proper procedures are followed. Evaluate construction methods and determine cost‑effectiveness of plans. Oversee cost accounting for projects, including analyzing progress and compiling monthly billings. Other Requirements Excellent communication skills. Ability to plan and organize a team effort. Strong focus on cost accounting and budget analysis. Education & Experience A four‑year bachelor’s degree in construction management and/or education and experience equivalence. Minimum 3–5 years of experience with construction projects. Technical skills: Procore, MS Office Suite. Work Environment The job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and other customary office equipment. This position will also occasionally be on‑site.
