This school-based nursing opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student's unique healthcare needs in an educational setting. Assignments begin as soon as possible and run through 12/16/2026, with the potential for renewal. The role is part-time, averaging 4 hours per week, and requires dedicated onsite presence. Flexibility and sensitivity are vital, as you'll be supporting a student with complex medical needs throughout the school day and bus transportation.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and active GA RN or LPN license
• Experience with school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Skilled in care for wheelchair-bound individuals
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care
• Experienced in monitoring and responding to seizures
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with students with limited verbal communication
• Able and willing to accompany student on the school bus daily

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and support for a student with specialized health requirements
• Supervise and assist with transfers, mobility, toileting, and feeding
• Monitor for seizure activity and respond swiftly and appropriately
• Communicate effectively with school staff, family members, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Accompany the student on the bus to and from school to ensure safety and well-being
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
