Position: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Columbus, MS 39710

Pay rate: $28/hr.

Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (M-F) | Approx. 40 hours weekly

Duration: 12 months with possible extension up to 5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to established nursing standards and clinical protocols.

• Assess patient conditions and accurately document clinical information.

• Recognize and respond to patient needs, including medication administration and patient education.

• Administer prescribed medications through oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous routes.

• Perform treatments and procedures in accordance with policies and physician orders.

• Identify urgent and emergent situations and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Assist registered nurses and physicians during patient care activities.

• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and specialized examinations.

• Operate and prepare specialized medical instruments and equipment.

• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures.

• Educate patients and family members regarding care plans and treatment instructions.

• Orient and assist peers and support personnel regarding unit policies and standards.

• Promote a safe and healthy work environment supporting quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
