Job Summary Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist performs a range of radiographic procedures, applying isotopes for diagnostic imaging, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring radiation safety. The role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Key Responsibilities Perform one or more general radiographic procedures. Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis. Conduct tests on in‑patients and out‑patients. Utilize a variety of nuclear medicine cameras and equipment. Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per scope of practice. Demonstrate industry standards in radiation safety. Qualifications Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT). MRT State of Texas. ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification. NMTCB PET Certification preferred. Current AHA or ARC BLS provider. Complete training in alternate modality within 6 months if cross‑training.
