Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, is responsible for the movement of patients to and from the imaging department. Responsible for assisting the technologists with flow of the department, to include review of medical records, room turnaround, delivering contrast to the ED/IP units and more.
Requirements:
1-3 Years Directly Related experience
High School/GED
Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills
Preferred: Enrolled in a healthcare related program, i.e. CNA, medical assistant, etc
Responsibilities:
Assists in the transportation of patients to, from, and throughout the Radiology department
Collecting and reviewing patient information in preparation for exams (medical review).
Assists in patient transfer, including lateral transfers to and from stretchers.
Assists in preparing Radiology rooms by cleaning, stocking, and setting up for exams.
Internal communications utilizing phone, secure messaging, and paging system. External communications utilizing phone, fax, and email.
Delivers/transports imaging contrast, labs, and more to appropriate locations
Participate in continuous Improvement activities.
Other tasks as needed.
