Job Summary
Baltimore, Maryland A Pediatric Operating Room Surgical Technician (ORT) is needed for a role within an organization that provides full pediatric surgical services, including cardiac, general, neuro, orthopedic, plastics, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, trauma, and general surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves working in Pediatric Operating Rooms with a schedule of two 12-hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, a day shift on Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and a night shift on Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Details

• Certifications and Experience: Current Pediatric Operating Room experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 4 to 5 years plus experience, and completion of a surgical technologist program (certification is not required).
• Schedule: 40 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, a day shift on Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and an on-call night shift on Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with on-call duties 4-6 times per 6-week schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Orientation: Orientation sessions are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month; candidates must complete orientation and be cleared by 5 PM the Thursday prior to the start date.
• Additional Information: Candidates with previous employment in any capacity at any Johns Hopkins Health System facility must note this on the coversheet and within their work history to verify rehire eligibility prior to receiving an offer. Applicants who previously worked for Johns Hopkins must have been away for at least 1 full year to reapply as travelers.
