Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health 
Salary Range : $145,000 – $155,000
L ocation: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
Position Summary
A leading hospital system in Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to oversee inpatient psychiatric services. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to manage unit operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Key Duties:

• Oversee daily operations of an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with Director-level leadership on clinical strategy, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, OMH, DOHMH, JCAHO, and other regulatory and accreditation standards, including survey readiness
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow while monitoring outcomes and quality metrics
• Lead staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and data-driven reporting to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement

Requirements
Licenses:

• Active RN license

Skills:

• 5+ years RN experience
• 5+ years psychiatric/behavioral health clinical experience
• 2+ years leadership/management experience
• MUST HAVE: Experience managing a psychiatric unit within a hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies (CQI, RCA)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
