Junior Buyer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer for a direct hire opportunity in Camuy, PR. This role supports purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory activities within a manufacturing environment, helping ensure raw materials, components, supplies, and services are available to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and process purchase orders for raw materials, components, supplies, and services based on production and inventory requirements.
- Review inventory levels, production schedules, and ERP/MRP data to determine purchasing needs and prevent material shortages.
- Monitor open purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and lead times to ensure materials arrive on schedule.
- Follow up with vendors to expedite delayed or critical orders and help avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and order documentation within the ERP/MRP system.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Annual salary: $31,200 per year. 
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 am - 4 pm

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or inventory control, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
