Production SupervisorGeorgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Supervisor for our plywood mill in Taylorsville, MS. The production supervisor is responsible for leading a wood products production team to work free/injury-free/incident in a continuous manufacturing environment consistent with management philosophy and framework.What You Will DoAs a Shift Supervisor, you must be open and flexible to work any shift. You will lead a team of 20 to 30 members.Supervise/coordinate production efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affected EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costsFacilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolutionDrive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazardsMonitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiencyAssist with troubleshooting and solving production issuesWork in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy and non-climate-controlled areasWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Two (2) or more years of supervisory experienceWilling and able to work any assigned shift schedule, which may include day, night, weekend and holiday work hoursExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC-based production reporting systems applicationsWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's Degree or higher with a preference in a technical or business discipline.Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing or military environment.Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in the wood products industry.Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).As a Koch company and a leading manufacturer of bath tissue, paper towels, paper-based packaging, cellulose, specialty fibers, building products and much more, Georgia-Pacific works to meet evolving needs of customers worldwide with quality products.
