Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Develop mechanical and structural design solutions to support various Launch Pad systems.Create CAD models and drawings, and provide FEA and hand-calcs for complex mechanical systems.Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle (including fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing & activation).Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural, aerospace engineering, or similar disciplines.10+ years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/construction of large and complex mechanical systems (i.e. mechanisms, launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, oil/gas structures, movable structures, etc).Mechanical design experience using CAD (Creo/Windchill preferred), hand calculations and FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).Experience in heavy duty mechanism design (i.e. locking/clamps mechanisms, linkage design, quick release systems, alignment mechanisms, restraint/catch systems, etc).Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded assemblies.Desired:Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).PE license (Mechanical).2+ years direct GSE design and analysis experience.Culture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
