Job Opportunity

Hometown Pediactric-Sevierville a Division of Summit Medical Group has an immediate opening for an experienced RN, LPN, or CMA/RMA to join their practice. This is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
• Recording vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
• Performing appropriate procedures, such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, etc.
• Assisting the physician(s) with procedures, administering medications, and conducting patient educations.
• Handling phone nursing tasks, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
• Performing clerical duties necessary for the physicians to see patients; contacting patients regarding test results or for other related reasons as directed.
• Pulling and preparing patient records for physicians to treat patients, as needed.
• Scheduling patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
• Maintaining stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
• Adhering to established company policies and procedures, including the corporate compliance program, and following state and federal regulations, such as OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhering to site-specific protocols and expectations.
• Performing duties in a professional manner while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to co-workers, management, and public.
• Maintaining strictest confidentiality, both internally (with Summit employees) and externally (with non-Summit persons).
• Actively participating in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
• Performing all other duties assigned by supervisor, Site Manager, physician, or Administrative staff.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited program in practical nursing or medical assisting.

Current TN RN license, Practical Nursing License, or Nationally Certified in Medical Assisting Required.
