We are seeking a Sr. System Engineer to support our client's team.Location: Burlington, MA (On-site)The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $47.07 – $58.85 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Employment Type: Temporary, approximately 4 months (through December 2026)FLSA Status: Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMJob SummarySupport system development, integration, verification, and sustaining engineering activities for complex electromechanical devicesWrite and maintain system requirements and documentation using tools such as Helix or JamaDesign and build test fixtures for board and subsystem validationPerform system integration testing and troubleshoot hardware/software/firmware interactionsDevelop system test protocols, test plans, and reports supporting verification and validationManage engineering change orders and lifecycle updates through digital platformsSupport risk management activities, including hazard analysis and FMEA updatesCollaborate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, quality, and regulatory teams to resolve system-level issuesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred5+ years of systems engineering experience, ideally within the medical device industryStrong hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex electromechanical systemsExperience with requirements management tools such as Helix or JamaSolid understanding of system verification and validationFamiliarity with regulatory standards such as 60601-1, 60601-2, and 60601-1-6 preferredExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsDetail-oriented with strong documentation discipline and analytical problem-solving abilities
