Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Services - Behavioral Health RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department/Psychiatric Emergency Department experience required. License: Current State or Compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (in hand or willing to obtain during compliance). Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting system. - Required skills include: Abdominal pain management, Acute psychosis care, Drug overdose procedures, and Crisis intervention techniques. - Additional skills in managing violent behavior and implementing de-escalation techniques. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Emergency Services with a focus on behavioral health. The position requires a strong background in psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with patients experiencing various mental health conditions. The role includes managing patient assessments and implementing treatment plans. Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate is expected to manage patient care in high-pressure situations. Experience with emergency medications and procedures is crucial. Flu vaccinations are required with no exemptions accepted. The nurse will work within established protocols for psychiatric holds and behavioral management. Emergency response proficiency and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias are needed. Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques are fundamental skills for this role. This position includes responsibilities across various patient age groups and diagnoses.
