Project Manager – Modernization Location: Rochester, NY, United States Job ID: 88414 We are part of Schindler's commitment to enhancing quality of urban life. In this role, you will partner with sales representatives, customers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, financially successful modernization projects. Your Main Responsibilities Manage modernization projects from award through close‑out, ensuring projects meet efficiency, schedule, and profitability targets. Review and book projects within one week of award; notify management if required completion dates cannot be met and provide an action plan. Prepare and submit approved submittals to engineering and/or local vendors; coordinate with factories, vendors, and superintendents to ensure all materials are available prior to project start. Partner with the Field Superintendent to track job progress and proactively address schedule risks; communicate action plans when needed. Identify change order opportunities; prepare and submit change notices to customers in a timely manner and secure signed approval before performing additional work. Ensure timely invoicing and monitor project billing to achieve 90% collection prior to elevator turnover. Participate in company professional development programs to enhance knowledge of products, services, systems, and procedures. What You Bring BS/AS degree preferred or 3 years of supplemental experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & Excel. Base Salary USD 102,200 – 127,700 per year. (Base salary only, excludes commissions or longer‑term incentives.) What’s in it for you?
