About The Gate Golf Club

Established in 2023 and located in Naples, Florida, The Gate Golf Club ("The Gate") is a non-profit organization driven by a shared love for golf and a commitment to creating a lasting impact on the community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate consists of a 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant, pavilion bar, concessions snack bar, 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology, expansive putting green, and a Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation length golf course. Recognizing the limited availability of public courses in Southwest Florida, The Gate Golf Club is dedicated to making the sport more accessible for families and players of all skill levels.

The HR Coordinator supports the day-to-day functions and responsibilities of the Human Resources department providing administrative and operational assistance to ensure employee support, compliance, and club operations. This role acts as a liaison between staff, management, and external HR vendors, while also assisting with golf club-specific operations. 

Essential Functions

• Performs a variety of administrative functions for the Human Resources department: daily recruitment procedures, data entry, file management, employment verifications, reference checks, training class management and preparation of materials, execution of and distribution of weekly, monthly or quarterly reports.
• Assists with daily updating and processing of employee files in the HRIS/ATS platform including Recruiting, Onboarding, Time & Labor, and Benefits. 
• Serves as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and benefit-related questions. 
• Coordinates with benefit vendors and administrators to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. 
• Assists in organizing training sessions, seminars, and orientation programs 
• Provides feedback and information to management regarding daily HR issues presented by employees. 
• Assists with resolutions of employee issues. 
• Responsible for site HR files maintenance; Maintains digital and electronic HR records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy 
• Assists with training as necessary (onboarding, HR software user training, annual compliance) to support Management. 
• Monitors documents used to evaluate, correct and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviors, assuring overall fairness and consistency, and meeting business requirements.
• Sets interview appointments for hiring department managers, follows up accordingly with additional interviews.
• Performs other HR duties as needed, including special projects assigned.

Requirements:

• Two years of previous human resources administrative experience required
• Associate’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking skills highly preferred.
• SHRM-CP certification preferred 
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality is essential
• Experience in the hospitality or golf industry is preferred
• Excellent customer service and employee relation skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Experience with HRIS/ATS software; Paylocity platform a plus
• Have a general understanding of employment laws
• Ability to work independently in a timely and productive manner
• Flexibility in a busy atmosphere, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and provide excellent customer service
• High attention to detail and accuracy with all work
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within all levels of the organization
• Honesty, integrity and strong knowledge of HR principles/ employee relation skills 
• Strong business technical writing skills and excellent communication/people skills
