Seasonal General Maintenance

Position: Seasonal General Maintenance Technician The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing general routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of school buildings and campus grounds to maintain a safe, well-maintained environment for students, residents, staff and visitors. Responsibilities Completes daily maintenance work orders as assigned, including but not limited to event set up and breakdown, snow removal, trash removal, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and systems repairs, etc. Participates in facility preventative maintenance programs Accountable for and abides by the standards set forth in The Baldwin School Employee Handbook Maintains confidentiality and rights of student, family, employee, and facility information in compliance with policies and applicable regulations Maintains a safe work environment and exhibits safe workplace best practices Interacts positively and cooperatively with students, families, visitors and other staff Performs all duties in compliance with all applicable Federal and State rules and regulations and facility policies and procedures Accepts assigned duties in a cooperative manner and willingly performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Ability to follow verbal and written instruction; to perform basic math calculations and to work efficiently without direct supervision General mechanical aptitude and a positive customer service approach Require lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs Maintenance Team Members work inside and outside and are exposed to varying environmental conditions Ability to stand for extended periods of time and climb a ladder Preferred Qualifications 2-4 years of relevant maintenance, laborer, or related experience A valid PA driver's license and the ability to operate all school vehicles and equipment Contact Interested candidates, please send a cover letter, resume and three references.
