Per Diem Pharmacist in Soddy Daisy, TN

A per diem pharmacist position is available in Soddy Daisy, TN, supporting an independent compounding pharmacy with a high volume of approximately 1,000 compounds daily. The role provides coverage for vacation absences starting May 27-29, with ongoing per diem needs in the Chattanooga area.


Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: Closed
• Lunch break: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the work of five pharmacy technicians who manage data entry, prescription fills, phone inquiries, and related tasks.
• Respond to pharmacist-level questions and issues as they arise.
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department, which ships three different formulations of post-cataract surgery eye drops.

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience.
• Mail order pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.

This role requires strong leadership skills to manage technicians and ensure smooth operations within a busy compounding and mail order environment. Candidates should be comfortable working independently during the pharmacy's standard operating hours and capable of providing expert oversight and guidance.
