Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical - Neuro to provide dedicated patient care within a busy hospital unit. This role involves managing diverse neuro-related diagnoses and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs, including basic arrhythmia recognition, while adhering to unit protocols.
  
• Assess patient conditions, record outcomes, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education, especially pertaining to neuro conditions.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC EMR system and ensure compliance with shift responsibilities.
  
• Follow unit-specific protocols such as infection control, safety procedures, and code awareness.
  
• Support hospitalist or intensivist in critical patient situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unexpired RN license with BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in neuro patient care, including basic arrhythmia interpretation.
  
• Possess recent med-surg or neuro experience within a hospital setting.
  
• Exhibit excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  
• Able to work scheduled weekends, holidays, and shift flexibility, including 12-hour shifts.
  
• Must meet background criteria and disclose any hits during submission.
