Assist in animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures. Apply aseptic techniques during surgeries and invasive procedures to prevent infections and promote optimal recovery. Manage laboratory tests, analyze results, and interpret data to inform clinical decisions effectively. Support animal husbandry practices including feeding, grooming, and maintaining proper animal physiology and anatomy knowledge for health assessments. Handle emergency cases requiring veterinary critical care experience with confidence and professionalism. Maintain detailed medical records while adhering to all safety protocols, including animal catheterization and laboratory procedures. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving animal physiology or specialized treatments such as equine care or pet grooming. Skills Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry techniques. Demonstrated expertise in veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Skilled in performing animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory diagnostics. Experience working with diverse species including dogs, cats, horses (equine experience preferred), ensuring safe pet care practices. Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment options using clear veterinary language. Strong animal husbandry skills combined with proficiency in pet grooming and basic pet care routines. Capable of managing high-pressure situations with calmness and efficiency during emergency or critical cases.
