Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator - Medical Surgical

Position Overview Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Medical Surgical Unit at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. The role is full‑time, weekend day shift (AM). Key Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. Under the direction of the department manager, lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on and simplify workflow, and contribute to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service. Required Qualifications 18 months of nursing experience. BSN required; master’s degree preferred (if the graduate degree is not in nursing, a BSN is required). Virginia RN License required. BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
