Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in a busy emergency department located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population with low to moderate acuity levels. The position requires professionalism, teamwork, and a focus on patient safety and timely interventions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), with candidates having less than a year of experience also considered, provided they meet the certification requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Certification in Trauma Care (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), CPI, and more than two years of emergency department experience
• Unit Information:
  • Unit features 16 beds with 8 hall chairs
  • Staffed by 6-7 personnel per shift, including nurses, technicians, and US (Ultrasound) staff
  • Patient ratios of 1:4, accommodating ESI (Emergency Severity Index) levels 4 and 5
  • Utilizes Meditech electronic medical record system and has essential equipment such as cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and tonopen
  • Shift huddles occur daily at 7am and 7pm; attendance is mandatory unless providing critical care
  • Dress code includes royal blue scrubs and team jerseys during seasonal events
• Additional Information:
  • The unit places emphasis on compassion, urgency, and teamwork
  • Transitioning from a Level IV to a Level II trauma hospital, focusing on timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
