We are looking for Scenic Carpenters to join Colorado's largest themed scenic custom manufacturing company.As a Scenic Carpenter you will be responsible for the carpentry aspects of exhibit fabrication, including completing on time, on budget, and maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and professional communication. You will work indoors and sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances. You'll work with various hand tools and must keep their tools and worksite in a clean, safe condition. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills.The job includes:Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop ManagerWork with the Shop Manager on assigned fabrication projects to support the exhibit assetsAssist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication processConstructing carts and/or crates that ensure the safe transportation of exhibitionsAdaptability and ability to change priorities as they dynamically shiftHandle heights as necessary; ladder work is commonCarry heavy equipment manually or using necessary equipment as applicablePerform all other duties as assignedThe person we are looking for has:2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic and metal, or related work; being a talented hobbyist countsMust be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walkingMust have own basic carpentry toolsWell versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldingsAbility to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams and adhere to quality building standards and specificationsBasic knowledge of math and measurementsAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while keeping great attention to detailAbility to work independently and within a team environment; works well with Project Managers, Detailers and Senior ManagementMust be able to work 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday during peek seasons (Oct - May); non-peek work schedule will typically be a 40 hour weekAvailable to work overtime and on weekendsColorado Salary and Benefit Statement:The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role.
