AWAKE Residential Service Technician (Full-time, Overnight)

AWAKE Mental Health Direct Care Professional (Residential Services Technician) Pay rate: $20.50/hour. Additional overnight shift differential: $2/hour between 10p – 8a. Responsibilities Provide nighttime direct service in the residential group care or transitional living setting. Offer personal support and supportive counseling to residents. Contribute to identifying needs or emerging needs, physical and mental health wellbeing, medication administration, personal support, watchful oversight, and milieu management as part of a clinical team. Maintain a clean and organized facility and staff office charts and documentation. Attend weekly or bi‑weekly program staff meetings and participate in other meetings as necessary. Work under the supervision of the Program Director or Program Coordinator. Schedule and Location Full‑time, 40 hours/week. 3rd shift/overnight. Various schedules available; specific availability discussed during interview. The program operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Availability on weekends/holidays required. Onsite in one of our residential programs in Portland or South Portland, ME. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred. Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills required. Flexible schedule required. Ability to work in a team environment required. Must successfully pass a criminal background check, child protective service check, and sex offender check; must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list. If MHRT is required, must pass a CNA registry check. Must pass a pre‑employment physical and TB screen. Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds. Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for occasional client travel within the program service area; a good driving record is required.
