Entry-Level Commercial HVAC Technician REIC Rentals is hiring an Entry-Level Commercial HVAC Technician (formal title: Field Service Technician) to support our growing Data Center team throughout Northeast Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for recent HVAC trade school graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in commercial HVAC and mission-critical climate control.You'll receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians, helping install, maintain, troubleshoot, and service temporary climate control equipment that supports some of the world's most advanced data centers. About REIC Rentals REIC Rentals is a trusted full-line equipment partner supporting projects across North America. Our mission is to deliver high-performance equipment, expert service, and innovative climate control solutions that help our customers succeed. Why Join REIC Rentals?Monday-Friday schedule (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)On-call rotation and overtime opportunitiesHands-on training with experienced HVAC professionalsWork in state-of-the-art data center environmentsTerritory covering Northeast VirginiaComprehensive benefits available after 60 days:Medical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) with Company MatchOngoing technical training and career developmentCareer advancement opportunitiesEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramSafety-first, team-oriented cultureResponsibilitiesLoad, transport, and unload HVAC equipment and materials.Drive company vehicles to customer job sites (acceptable driving record required).Assist with installing temporary commercial HVAC and climate control equipment.Help run gas hoses, ducting, ventilation, and electrical connections under technician supervision.Assist with equipment startup and commissioning.Support preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, dehumidification, ventilation, and environmental control equipment.Assist experienced technicians with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues.Read and learn to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in both the shop and customer locations.Document completed work and inspections using company software.Follow all company safety procedures and strict customer data center safety protocols.Work closely with Commercial HVAC Service Technicians while learning the trade.RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or older.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Comfortable working in mission-critical data center environments.Willingness to travel throughout Northeast Virginia.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Preferred QualificationsRecent graduate of an HVAC or Mechanical Technology program.EPA Certification (preferred but not required).Experience in HVAC, construction, mechanical work, or another skilled trade.Experience using hand and power tools.Basic knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.Rental equipment industry experience is a plus.Veterans are encouraged to apply!#StepIntoSuccess REIC Rentals is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees. Please note: REIC Rentals does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters or staffing agencies.REIC and all affiliates operate as drug-free environments, which includes marijuana.
