Protective Service Specialist (1/2/3) Location: Bethel office, Alaska. Positions are open to all applicants and may require relocation to Bethel with move reimbursements available. What You Will Be Doing As a Protective Service Specialist (PSS), you will provide Child Protection Services, investigate reports of child abuse and neglect, prepare intervention plans, gather family information, ensure child safety, place children when necessary, provide ongoing services, write and submit court reports, work closely with Tribal/Community partners, and make referrals to other service agencies. Travel to communities and rural locations in Alaska is expected approximately four times per month, including day trips and some overnight stays.
