Position Title: Director of Risk Management

Base Salary: $116,068 to $153,700 + Best-in-class benefits

Job Description:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required. Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
Experience: 
*Two (2) to Five (5) years Risk Management experience; acute care experience preferred. 
*Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Computer proficiency to include at a minimum Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and Outlook, and hospital software programs, as applicable. 
License/Certification: Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities: 
*Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission. 
*Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. 
*Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
*Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. 
*Must have knowledge of PC and applications. 
*Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
*Thorough knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. 
*Application of techniques such as RCA, FMEA and other quality tools. 
*Must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge of the principles of regulations, and standards to meet hospital, licensing, and accreditation. 
*Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission Standards and CMS/DHS Regulations. 
*Understanding of statistical analysis. Six Sigma ("Lean") knowledge preferred.

Intermediate to High Skills: 
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
*Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
*Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
