Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company-owned and leased heavy equipment and vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems
- Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate vehicle and equipment parts as needed
- Examine and repair hydraulic components for leaks, ruptured hoses, or worn gaskets
- Travel to job sites to perform on-site repairs as necessary
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Rebuild or replace engines, repair hydraulic fluid pumps, and address electrical problems
- Work in various environments, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Accurately complete repair orders and maintain electronic logs
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systems
- Knowledge of heavy equipment parts, performance requirements, and hydraulic systems
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, welding, and flame cutting equipment
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals
- Mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and safe driving habits
- Knowledge of small engine equipment such as generators and compressors (preferred)
- Advanced education or training in electronic computerized diagnostic systems (preferred)
