Appointment Setter / Relationship Builder will be responsible for helping to fill the office’s weekly calendar with appointments for in-house advisor(s), along with other types of calls/tasks that relate to growing the business’ overall production. The purpose of this position is to increase front-end business activity from a prospecting perspective and ultimately increase the amount of new relationships that are being made with those in our area who are planning for retirement. This position will encompass the following:

Key Responsibilities

· Manage outbound call volume, with the goal of setting appointments for in house advisors

· Ability and willingness to be on the phone for 50 - 75% of the day

· Make daily appointment confirmation calls to prospective clients

· Manage and coordinate internal advisors’ calendars with clients and potential clients

· Promote referrals through client interactions

· Maintain prospect campaigns via electronic programs

· Promote, plan, and attend referral and prospecting events

· Perform post-event follow-up activities with attendees and schedule appointments

· Track, assess, and report the status of specific business metrics related to potential clients and all events

Qualifications & Skills

· Degree in sales, communications, or business is preferred but comparable experience will be considered

· Excellent communication, organization, sales, calendar management, and customer service skills

· Experience working in a financial group is preferred but not necessary

· Experience working in sales and/or an entrepreneurial setting is required

· Understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access), PDF, WordPress and other Internet applications is preferred

· Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients

· Ability to market to existing and potential clients in person, online, and by telephone

· Ability to handle objections over the phone and turn the conversation around when needed

· Persistent with an entrepreneurial viewpoint to build a client base

· Ability to multitask and work well with a team

· Effective time management and prioritization

· CRM database experience is a plus

· Ability and willingness to be on the phone for 50 - 75% of the day

· Ambitious with a sense of urgency and initiative; proactive vs. reactive
