Details 37-bed Med/Surg Tele unit caring for a diverse adult population with varying acuity levels, from uncomplicated to sub-critical Includes post-op transplant patients and any adult requiring cardiac monitoring 1:5 patient ratios Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend required 36 or 48 hour contract options available Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required (pending license accepted) Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in-specialty experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital Facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) Scrub color requirement: Royal Blue/White for RNs Free parking available for travelers in an attached garage Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation COVID vaccine not required First-time travelers accepted Radius rule: candidates must reside 100 miles from the facility, with 75-99 miles considered case-by-case; local candidates not accepted Former CAMC perm employees must wait 2 years after their last day worked before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-750870.
