EVENT OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Pay: $15–$20 per hour

Schedule: Weekends required with flexible weekday hours

Employment Type: Part-time or seasonal based on business needs

Overtime: Opportunities may be available during busy periods

Position Summary

M&M Party Rentals is hiring dependable, hardworking Event Operators to deliver, set up, operate, and remove party and event equipment. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor position for someone who enjoys working with a team, staying active, and helping create memorable events.

This job is not for the weak. Event Operators may work early mornings, late nights, long shifts, weekends, and outdoors in heat, cold, wind, or other weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inflatables, games, tents, tables, chairs, mechanical attractions, and other rental equipment.
• Deliver rental equipment safely and on schedule.
• Set up and take down inflatables, tents, games, and event equipment.
• Lift and carry heavy or bulky equipment with assistance.
• Hammer stakes, secure equipment, connect blowers, and complete required safety checks.
• Operate certain attractions or games when assigned and properly trained.
• Follow company procedures and all equipment safety requirements.
• Keep trucks, trailers, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and event contacts.
• Protect company and customer property during deliveries and setups.
• Report damaged equipment, safety concerns, accidents, or customer issues promptly.
• Represent M&M Party Rentals professionally at every event.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to work early mornings, late nights, and extended shifts when needed.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Must be able to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must provide respectful and professional customer service.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires:

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy or bulky equipment.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and climbing.
• Repetitive loading and unloading.
• Hammering stakes and handling setup tools.
• Working on grass, pavement, dirt, and uneven outdoor surfaces.
• Performing physically demanding work for extended periods.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in any of the following areas is helpful but not required:

• Driving a truck while pulling a trailer.
• Safely backing, parking, and maneuvering a trailer.
• Setting up inflatables, tents, games, tables, or chairs.
• Event rental, delivery, moving, warehouse, landscaping, or construction work.
• Customer service or event operations.

Starting pay is based on experience, availability, driving qualifications, trailer-towing ability, and demonstrated job performance. Higher starting pay may be available for applicants with proven trailer-pulling experience.
