Construction Manager

Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This role will be responsible for providing complete project field leadership and direction for day-to-day operations of the assigned project(s), in partnership with the Project Manager. The Construction Manager also ensures project success by coordinating vendors and Subcontractors to install their scopes of work in full accordance with the Contract Documents and Project Schedule. Overall job site safety, logistics, cleanliness, and professionalism are directly the responsibility of the Construction Manager. Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Wheeler Staffing Partners Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (Relocation Assistance Available) Schedule: Onsite + Occasional Travel Key Responsibilities Responsible for creation, maintenance, and accurate reporting of the Project Schedule. Perform updates as needed for the project, monitor logic relationship integrity, develop, and implement recovery plans as needed, and lead the project pull planning efforts to support the overall schedule. Coordinate all site construction activities to successfully execute the project schedule and Construction Documents. Actively manage and mitigate project constraints, oversee the Site Quality Assurance Plan, supervise all trade partners activity and Contract compliance, and ensure compliance with the Site-Specific Safety Plan. Manage scheduling of, and attend as necessary, site inspections with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), third-party inspectors, and/or clients. Ensure coordination of installation between trades and drive trade partner progress in accordance with the Project Schedule. Provide key field leadership for planning across all trades and support the construction schedule development. Attend jobsite meetings, schedule deliveries, perform project site documentation, coordinate job progress, assist management with inspections, support review of vendor/sub invoices and status reports. Collaborate with Inter-Company field leadership to drive efficiencies and best practices for optimal company outcomes. Implement the Project Quality Assurance plan, ensure preparatory meetings are held, and that documents and installed conditions align with the plan, Contract Documents, and Site Logistics plan; resolve deficiencies timely. Attend project update meetings with Project Management and Leadership to review overall project health and progress. Support measuring the project's progress and report on it. Engage with Energy Savings targets, working with M&V and Engineering teams to ensure construction progress aligns with expected energy outcomes. Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and secure all required permits, managing timely permit closeout. Document existing site conditions and coordinate with facility operators regarding site issues. Work with the project team to ensure start-up and commissioning activities are implemented in accordance with company and project requirements. Promote and maintain the company culture by representing the team and company to all stakeholders. Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in LARGE ($10M+) commercial construction (higher education, healthcare). Proven leadership and supervisory skills. Experience with pull planning and Last Planner System. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore), and scheduling software (Primavera). 0-10% travel to job sites/offices. Light physical work including adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
