Data Platform Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer II on the Data Platform team at G-P, you will play a vital role in enhancing our AI-native platform. This position involves designing and developing core components of our data platform, building reliable data flows, and ensuring optimal performance of our Databricks Lakehouse. Collaborating with senior engineers, you will work with high-volume event ingestion pipelines and real-time processing workflows, contributing to the overall success of our global ecosystem.

Design and develop core components of the data platform, including high-volume event ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark.

Build robust data flows with a focus on data correctness, consistency, and availability.

Implement observability frameworks to monitor pipeline health and system uptime.

Participate in design discussions and code reviews, ensuring adherence to data governance standards.

3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend or data systems.

Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark and the Databricks/Delta Lake ecosystem.

Expert-level skills in Python and SQL.

Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
